This year\u2019s theme, \u201cHonoring Our Nations: Building Strength Through Resilience,\u201d highlights how Native American resilience has fueled progress and enriched communities across the country.<\/p>

Native Americans have long been innovators, particularly in agriculture, medicine, and environmental stewardship. Indigenous farming techniques, like the cultivation of crops such as corn, beans, and squash\u2014the “Three Sisters”\u2014provided the foundation for agricultural systems still used today. Native American knowledge of herbal remedies and natural healing practices contributed to early medicinal breakthroughs, influencing treatments that continue to aid the health industry.<\/p>

Beyond agriculture and medicine, Native communities have significantly contributed to public service.
